Le Zeff Merlot

Low Sulphur | Vegan | Organic

It’s the cool wind of the Cahors, France, that keep the grapes vibrant, acidic and fresh. Le Zeff is the slang for these winds, and this wine is a reflection of that terroir. This intense purple, medium bodied Merlot is the result of just one hectare of vines, which makes it even more special. Pair with lamb or soft cheese like they would down in South West France.

Chateau Baroillet | France

After being taught by Fabien Jouves, Laurent now bio-dynamically farms six hectares of Merlot and Malbec, with his wife Nathalie at La Pélissière in the town of Villesèque. The terroir is located 380m above sea level – the highest point of the appellation. Their objective is to keep the soil alive by using natural fertilizers (horse and cow dung, crushed branches, etc). They also use draft horses to maintain the vineyard: the work of the horses is especially important after the harvest to aerate the ground.

Our happy customers

I ordered the prosecco and the olive oil. The Olive oil is delicious and fresh there are some lovely earthy flavours. I can taste the love it was made with! The prosecco was smooth and subtle perfect for a warm afternoon. It complimented my roasted veggies in the garden! It is wonderful to know these products were sourced from small farms and are made by passionate people.
Thank you so much!!

Very impressive first couple of orders – the still Prosecco was exquisite & the oil and balsamic vinegar bring that feeling of Mediterranean sunshine to our Yorkshire table.

Susan, Hebden Bridge

Brilliant organic products, beautifully packaged using NO plastic. I loved the balsamic vinegar in my first delivery and can’t wait to find out what comes with my next order
